White-water activities such as canoeing, kayaking, or water hiking can be enjoyed throughout the year in the Gorges of the Tarn and the Dourbie rivers, and in the lush valleys of the Lot or the Aveyron.

Exceptional air currents can be found in Aveyron around the cliffs that border the Larzac plateau above the Tarn valley. In consequence, Aveyron is a haven for paragliding and hand-gliding lovers. Icarus’ dream here is available to all, with a magnificent view to boot on the unique Millau viaduct.
World-famous as one of the birthplaces of handgliding, Millau is the perfect place to enjoy flying solo or together with a professional pilot.

Fun and out of the ordinary, the via ferrata have made their mark on the rocks of Aveyron, and families are increasingly choosing this nature activity to discover the local mountains. Aveyron is home to three via ferrata itineraries ranked among the top twenty most beautiful in France by specialist websites : Le Boffi, Liaucous and Baltuergues.
